On June 24, 2020, an extraordinary meeting of the Conference of the Civil Alliance of Kazakhstan was held. Given the epidemiological situation, the meeting was held online. Following the meeting, it was decided to elect Saltanat Temirkulovna Rakhimbekova as the President of the Civil Alliance of Kazakhstan.

Saltanat Rakhimbekova was born on February 18, 1965, a well-known public figure in the field of green economy and ecology, the founder and head of a number of non-governmental organizations - the Coalition for a Green Economy and Development G-Global, International Organization EXPO & Women, Agrarian Union Women of Kazakhstan ”, Doctor of Economics, Member of the Council on the transition of Kazakhstan to a green economy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Public Council of the Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources.

She was awarded the Order of Kurmet, the Certificate of Honor of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and five anniversary medals of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Laureate of the International Public Award "Creation". In recognition of his special merits to the district, fruitful state and social activities were awarded the title “Honorary Citizen of the Makhtaaral District of the South Kazakhstan Region”.

Civil society is transforming and it is important that the Alliance changes with it, while remaining a reliable partner of business and government. Given that civil forums in the regions and the traditional IX Republican Civil Forum are ahead of us, it is important for us to qualitatively assess the current situation in the field of NGOs, to develop concrete proposals and new initiatives.

I hope that in reality we will be able to claim the status of a strategic partner of the central and local executive state bodies in the initiative of President Tokayev to implement the concept of the Listening State.
