The Regional Forum of Shymkent City
On August 18, as part of the 11th Civil Forum of Kazakhstan, the Regional Forum "Challenges of the Time and the Role of Youth in Change: Youth Policy in National and International Dimensions" took place in Shymkent. The forum was attended by the Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Mayor of Shymkent, who opened a dialogue platform for civil society activists.
As part of the President's assignment, the scope of activities of civil society institutions is currently expanding in the city. There are currently over 550 registered and operating non-governmental organizations in the city. The development and formation of these organizations are continuously supported by the local authorities.
During the forum, expert speakers discussed the work of representatives of the civil society who have become mutual partners of the government, serving as a driving force of society. The Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan awarded the best in the field.
