The Regional Forum of the Mangystau Region
On October 1, as part of the 11th Civil Forum of Kazakhstan, the Regional Forum of the Mangystau Region took place. The main topic of the forum was the role of folk traditions as the foundation of the spiritual and moral culture of Kazakhstani society.
The forum featured speeches by Onaigul Turzhan, a candidate of philological sciences, Tamara Asar, a doctor of philosophical sciences, Nadezhda Vodadariya, the chairperson of the Indian Ethnocultural Public Association 'Salem-Namaste' in the Mangystau Region, and Tanat Zholdybay, the director of the public foundation 'Bala Armany.'
The forum also included discussion platforms, an exhibition of social projects by local non-governmental organizations, masterclasses, and a crafts fair.
There are 780 registered non-governmental organizations in the Mangystau region, with about 120 organizations actively functioning. In recognition of their outstanding contribution to the development of civil society, the leaders of local NGOs were honored on behalf of the Governor of the region.
