Civil Forum of Atyrau Region

The Civil Forum in Atyrau continues its work. The second day began with a plenary session that addressed issues of supporting civil society and the role of non-governmental organizations. Regional Akim Serik Shapkenov emphasized that NGOs play an important role in the region’s social development, in strengthening public stability, and in implementing meaningful initiatives, while the state creates conditions for building their capacity and carrying out projects.

The forum showcased new approaches in state policy to support civil society, discussed the prospects of social entrepreneurship, and presented best NGO projects.

Concluding the forum, the head of the region expressed gratitude to representatives of the civil sector for their contribution to the development of the region and stressed the importance of further strengthening partnerships.
