Civil Forum of Almaty Region

Today, Konaev hosted the Civil Forum of the Almaty Region under the theme “Participation of Local NGOs in Public Governance.”

The agenda focused on expanding civil society’s role in the implementation of public policy, improving the work of Public Councils, enhancing the involvement of youth and women in decision-making processes, promoting social initiatives in rural areas, and advancing the principles of open government.

During the plenary session, participants discussed ways to strengthen civil society infrastructure, foster partnerships between government bodies and non-governmental organizations, improve the system of grant support and state social contracting, as well as promote a culture of volunteering and philanthropy.
