The Regional Forum of Almaty City
On June 23rd, as part of the XI Civil Forum of Kazakhstan, the XIII Regional Forum of Almaty took place on the topic "Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals: Modern Challenges and Opportunities for their Solution by Civil Society."
The event was attended by the coordinator of the NGO "International Human Rights Center," A. Zamanbekova, and over 300 representatives from the government, non-governmental organizations, and businesses.
According to Arman Kyrykbaev, the Deputy Akim of Almaty, this year's funding for civic initiatives has doubled compared to the previous year, amounting to 5.5 billion tenge.
As a result of the forum, effective solutions and recommendations have been developed to promote economic and social stability, as well as legal stability in the context of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
