As part of the preparations for the XII Civil Forum of Kazakhstan, a meeting was held between Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aidar Saitbekov and representatives of non-governmental organizations on the topic: “Law and Order as the Foundation of a United Society: The Role of the Civil Sector.”

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Culture and Information, the Civil Alliance of Kazakhstan, non-governmental organizations, and the expert community.

Participants discussed issues of interaction between law enforcement agencies and civil society, including crime prevention, protection of citizens’ rights, prevention of domestic violence and juvenile delinquency, as well as the fight against drug-related crimes, cyber threats, extremism, and radicalization. The discussion also addressed the support and reintegration of convicted persons.

Special attention was given to the implementation of digital solutions in the law enforcement sphere and the development of partnerships between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and NGOs.
