Round Table on “Constitutional Changes: The Perspective of Students, Youth, Volunteers, and NGOs”
Today, a round table titled “Constitutional Changes: The Perspective of Students, Youth, Volunteers, and NGOs” was held, organized by the Civil Alliance of Kazakhstan. During the event, participants broadly discussed the constitutional amendments within the framework of the national referendum scheduled for March 15, 2026.
The purpose of the meeting was to hear the opinions of youth, students, volunteers, and NGO representatives, enhance civic engagement, and develop proposals. Experts delivered presentations on social responsibility, the participation of youth organizations in socio-political processes, environmental sustainability, legal culture, and mechanisms for supporting youth initiatives. Issues related to the development of regional youth policy and civic initiatives were also raised.
Following the discussion, participants emphasized the need to strengthen the institutional role of youth within constitutional reforms, expand opportunities for their participation in public administration, and increase their representation in public structures. In addition, it was proposed to conduct systematic legal awareness activities and enhance public information about the draft Constitution ahead of the referendum.
