Referendum on the New Constitution: Kazakhstanis Called Upon to Exercise Their Right to Vote

Chairman of the Central Referendum Commission Nurlan Abdirov reminded Kazakhstanis that the guarantee of exercising their constitutional right to participate in the referendum is their inclusion in the lists of citizens eligible to take part in the republican referendum.

“Lists are compiled by local executive bodies based on your permanent place of residence registration within the territory of a specific polling station. Citizens who are temporarily registered are included in the lists on the basis of a submitted application. Information about polling stations and their boundaries will be published by the respective akims by February 21, 2026. You can find out your polling station and check whether you are included in the list by contacting the local executive body at your place of registration. If you are not on the list, you have the right to submit a corresponding application to the akimat,” he said.

Starting February 27, 2026, citizens will be able to verify their personal data in the list of citizens eligible to participate in the republican referendum directly at their polling station.
