The meeting of the Council for Cooperation with NGOs under the Akimat of Astana was successfully concluded

As you may recall, on February 27, 2024, an important extended meeting on cooperation and interaction with NGOs was held in Astana. We gathered to discuss key aspects of civil society development in the capital.

At the event, various projects and ideas from NGOs were presented, and plans for implementing social programs were discussed.

Participants of the extended meeting put forward the following issues for further discussion and consideration of solutions:

1. Strengthen work with the parental community and extracurricular activities in the city, based on the experience of leading parent organizations.

2. Support public councils for more effective monitoring, especially in the field of sports and the “Damu Bala” platform.

3. Train OSI and CSC staff with the participation of civil society, restore training programs, and consider funding through the state social order.

4. Monitor the work of the akim’s advisor on disability and consider the possibility of reappointment.

5. Implement social projects through various government bodies.

6. Develop a social project through the state social order within the framework of the “People’s Participation Budget.”

7. Consider creating an additional center for temporary accommodation for homeless citizens.
