Today, we would like to share with you our valuable experience within the framework of the project “NGOs and the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan: Useful Practices of Interaction” through a discussion tournament.

The objectives of the event included:

• Developing civic stance and intercultural competencies among Kazakhstani citizens.

• Expanding general cultural awareness and increasing knowledge on interaction and cooperation.

• Developing public speaking skills.

• Cultivating critical thinking, public speaking, and parliamentary dialogue culture.

Speakers from the participating teams prepared their speeches in accordance with the resolutions:

1. This chamber proposes an effective project for joint work between NGOs and the structures of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan.

2. This chamber proposes an effective mechanism for informing the public about the activities of NGOs and the structures of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan.

Most participants took part in a debate for the first time. Emotions ran high. However, as participants themselves noted, this tool proved effective and engaging and is likely to be used in practice and future interactions.

We thank every participant! We built a wonderful networking space! Representatives of NGOs, civic activists, opinion leaders, and structures of the Assembly at various levels joined us. Thanks to your contribution, we were able to create a space for open dialogue and idea exchange! 

Let’s continue our joint efforts to develop society and support the unity of the people of Kazakhstan!
