Astana Study Tour | Day Three — meaningful meetings and experience

On the third day of the Study Tour, the Mangystau delegation visited the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and gained an in-depth understanding of the country’s main legislative body. Participants explored the stages of the legislative process, the work of parliamentary committees, and the mechanisms of interaction between Parliament and civil society.

During the visit, the delegation met with Bekbol Tileumuratuly Orynbasarov, a Member of Parliament from the Mangystau region. The discussion focused on regional development issues, the role of civil society institutions, and ways to enhance the effectiveness of public councils.

This meeting provided a valuable opportunity for participants to better understand how to promote civic initiatives at the legislative level and to appreciate the importance of the parliamentary institution in representing regional interests.
