The “Jastar Urban: It Starts from the Village” project, implemented by the Youth Policy Department of Mangystau Region, has reached its conclusion with a final exhibition showcasing urban initiatives of rural youth. The event was organized by the Civic Alliance of Mangystau Region.
Grant Competition Results:
Out of 42 applications from across the region, 7 projects were selected as winners from a total prize fund of 7,000,000 KZT. Each winner received a grant of up to 1,000,000 KZT to implement their idea.
Training and Mentorship:
Winners participated in a two-day training and mentorship program covering project management, financial planning, urbanism, and civic engagement. Training was conducted with the participation of Urban Forum Kazakhstan experts.
Purpose of the Exhibition:
To showcase the results of small urban projects, exchange experiences, and strengthen the role of youth in the development of rural areas.
Participants:
Over 50 participants: grant winners, local government representatives, youth organizations, volunteers, experts, media, and mentors.
