During the conversation, the expert highlighted several key issues: the lack of effective protection mechanisms for women working in domestic work; frequent non-payment of wages; retention of documents by employers; discrimination and harassment. It was also emphasized that women migrants often distrust government agencies and that NGOs play a crucial role by providing real assistance and earning trust.

Alexander Viktorovich also noted the need to ratify ILO Convention No. 190, simplify migrant hiring procedures, and conduct informational and educational initiatives to improve legal literacy.

The project is implemented with the financial support of the NGO @ekomangystau “Eco Mangystau” within the framework of the European Union-funded small grants program @euinkazakhstan “Joining Forces for Human Rights in Western Kazakhstan.”
