Mangystau Region
As part of the project “Protection of Labor Rights of Women Migrants in Mangystau Region,” an expert interview was held with entrepreneur Zhansaya Parahat, owner of a food service business.
For more than 7 years, Zhansaya has consistently employed women migrants, and this experience makes her opinion especially valuable.
During the conversation, she noted that women migrants are highly hardworking and responsible, yet face several challenges:
-
lack of stable documents and official registration;
-
language barriers;
-
limited opportunities for professional growth.
At the same time, Zhansaya emphasized the potential of this group of women, explaining how well-structured working conditions help them to develop, acquire new skills, and gain confidence in the future.
Such expert insights help to better understand what support measures are necessary to protect the rights of women migrants and create decent working conditions for them.
The project is implemented with the financial support of the NGO “Eco Mangystau” within the framework of the European Union-funded small grants program “Joining Forces for Human Rights in Western Kazakhstan.”
