Kyzylorda Region
Today, organized by the Akimat of Kyzylorda, a regional mobile meeting was held on the occasion of the International NGO Day under the theme “Developing Local Communities through the Potential of Non-Governmental Organizations.”
During the meeting, representatives of local executive bodies, akims of settlements and rural districts, NGO leaders, and members of local communities discussed new mechanisms for partnership in rural development.
Specific proposals were made in the following areas:
-
revitalizing the work of local communities;
-
strengthening interaction between NGOs and government bodies;
-
implementing social projects based on sectoral principles;
-
effectively using 4-level budget opportunities.
As a result of the meeting, the initiatives proposed by NGOs received support from the Deputy Akim of Kyzylorda, Dilmukhamed Mnuarbekuly Abizov. A joint decision was made to systematize social projects on a sectoral basis and update the joint work format.
The meeting was moderated by Anar Zharlykasynkyzy, Head of the Kyzylorda Regional Civil Alliance, who noted: “Such mutual trust and support are key to sustainable regional development. We thank the Akim of Kyzylorda for consistently supporting civil sector initiatives and creating conditions for the development of local communities.”
Active NGO leaders who have made a significant contribution to civil society development — Zhanat Alikulova, Alibek Zharov, Aimen Turbaeva, Raushan Sarymsakova, Zhumabek Shakhatov, Kurmankul Erimbetova — were awarded for their contributions to societal development.
International NGO Day is a day to recognize the work of organizations serving society, support civic engagement, and express gratitude to those contributing to social change.
