Meeting of NGO Representatives and Government Officials Held in Kyzylorda
Today, at the House of Friendship, a meeting was held with representatives of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) of Kyzylorda Region and heads of government bodies. Participants included heads and deputies of regional departments of public development, education, culture, archives and documentation, entrepreneurship and industry, economy and finance, as well as the head of the Department of Religious Affairs.
Key Issues Discussed:

Head of the Public Development Department, Ruslan Mukhamedaliev, reviewed the effectiveness of projects under the State Social Order (SSO), cooperation with civil society, and upcoming priorities.

NGO representatives emphasized the need to improve the content of SSO projects, update them, and adapt to public needs.

Chairman of “Ұрпақтан ұрпаққа” NGO, Sailaubay Abishev, proposed comprehensive measures for preserving cultural heritage, using it as an educational tool, and fostering youth through generational continuity.

Afghan war veterans suggested developing a concrete action plan between schools and NGOs for patriotic education and initial military training.

Social support for veterans: “Nevada–Semey” NGO and Afghan war veterans raised the issue of free public transport and utility benefits.

Ensuring transparency and legal protection of NGOs, financial oversight, improving SSO project effectiveness, and mitigating corruption risks were discussed (Maratbek Nurzhanov, “Aqiqat Nury” NGO).

Social entrepreneurship status: possibilities for registering NGOs in the official social entrepreneurship registry and its benefits were discussed.
Meeting Outcomes:
- Clarification of interaction mechanisms between the civil sector and government at the next meeting of the regional coordination council;
- Development of proposals for expanding state social order directions;
- Analysis of the implementation of recommendations from the XII Regional Forum (2025, “Role of NGOs in Rural Development”).
The moderator, Anar Izden Zharlykasynkyzy, Chair of the Kyzylorda Regional NGO Association, noted the constructive discussion and emphasized that moving from individual issues to systematic legislative and financial mechanisms ensures effective solutions to the set objectives.
