In Kyzylorda, on the initiative of the Kyzylorda Regional NGO Alliance, a discussion on amendments to the new edition of the Constitution was held with the participation of heads of public associations and civil society representatives.
Chair of the Regional Civil Alliance, Anar Izden Zharlykasynkyzy, explained the main directions of the reform and highlighted that the proposed amendments aim to:
• strengthen the principles of a legal state,
• enhance guarantees of citizens’ rights and freedoms,
• modernize public and state relations.
During the discussion, participants paid particular attention to the development of local self-government and clarifying the legal status of public associations. Civil society representatives emphasized that these changes will expand citizens’ opportunities to participate in decision-making processes and increase trust in state institutions.
The meeting concluded with participants noting that such open discussion platforms strengthen trust between the state and civil society and establish effective mechanisms for considering public opinion. In the future, public organizations will hold meetings with department heads on a sectoral basis and conduct outreach meetings with rural NGOs and local community members.
