Meeting on “Financial Independence of Local Self-Government through the Introduction of the Fourth-Level Budget: Civil Society Participation”

Within the framework of the project “Honest Citizen – Active Society,” the Civil Alliance of Kyzylorda Region organized a meeting with members of local communities and representatives of non-governmental organizations of rural districts of Kyzylorda city.

During the event:

• Aisaule Zhienkozhaeva, Acting Head of the Analysis and Accounting Department of the Kyzylorda City Revenue Office, provided information on the fourth-level budget and answered participants’ questions regarding the Tax Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

• The Concept for the Development of Rural Areas of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2023–2027 was presented, and the work directions for local community members were discussed.

• At the government’s expanded session, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed the launch of the “Akim School” training project. Participants emphasized the importance of involving civil society organizations to ensure the effective implementation of state programs for rural development.
