Republican seminar on the topic "Peaceful atom"

On December 21, Astana hosted a republican seminar on the topic "Baby Atom" with the participation of representatives of NGOs and civil society.
The main purpose of the seminar is to inform about the development and achievements in the field of nuclear energy and the peaceful use of atoms.
Nuclear industry experts told the seminar participants about the projected balances of the development of the electric power industry, plans for the construction of nuclear power plants in Kazakhstan and the impact of nuclear power plants on economic development.
Gulmira Mursalova, Deputy Director of the Department of Nuclear Energy and Industry of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, noted that there is a shortage of electricity in Kazakhstan and the NPP will help ensure stable basic electricity generation.
