As part of the explanatory group on enhancing religious literacy among the population of Karaganda, a preventive meeting was held for first-year students of the Karaganda Regional Higher Nursing College on the topic: “Countering Religious Extremism and Terrorism. Methods of Protection from Recruiters and Destructive Religious Movements.”

The speaker was Serik Kuatovich Tlekbaev, Executive Director of the Center for the Study and Analysis of Social Processes and a legal expert in religious studies.

During the discussion, participants examined the causes of extremism, its threats to society, and the importance of fostering critical thinking and information literacy among youth. Students had the opportunity to ask questions and discuss current issues related to safety and civic responsibility.

Such meetings help youth develop stable value orientations and increase their awareness of the risks posed by destructive ideologies.
