Meeting with the Staff of the Karaganda Multidisciplinary Regional Children’s Hospital

As part of the project “Organization of the Work of the Informational and Explanatory Group to Increase Religious Literacy in the Population of Karaganda,” a meeting was held with the staff of the Karaganda Multidisciplinary Regional Children’s Hospital.

The speaker was Dauren Shegeniyazovich Kanaev — head of the NGO “Nurly Bilim” Center for Assistance to Victims of Destructive Religious Movements, and a member of the informational and explanatory group on religious issues.

During the meeting, the topic “Religion as a Justification for Violence” was discussed. Participants examined the causes of radical ideas spreading, ways they are masked as religious values, and the importance of critical thinking and increasing religious literacy in society.
