Meeting with Young Athletes of Karaganda Sports School

As part of the project “Enhancing Religious Literacy among the Population of Karaganda,” a meeting was held with the students of the Comprehensive Youth Sports School of Karaganda.

The speaker was Dmitry Sergeevich Poltarenko — Chairman of the Mediation Council of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan in Karaganda Region, Head of the Karaganda branch of the NGO “Counter-Terrorism Committee,” Moderator of the Club of MRO Leaders of Karaganda Region, and member of the Republican informational and explanatory group on religious issues under the Committee on Religious Affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, topics such as preventing radicalization among youth, forming stable civic values, and understanding the principles of a secular state were discussed. Special attention was paid to the provisions of the new edition of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the role of youth in maintaining social stability and interfaith harmony.
