Meeting with Students of Gymnasium No. 1 in Karaganda

As part of the project “Organization of the Informational and Explanatory Group for Enhancing Religious Literacy in Karaganda,” a meeting was held with students of Gymnasium No. 1.

The speaker was Dmitry Sergeevich Poltarenko — Chairman of the Mediation Council of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan in Karaganda Region, Head of the Karaganda branch of the NGO “Counter-Terrorism Committee,” Moderator of the Club of MRO Leaders of Karaganda Region, and member of the Republican informational and explanatory group on religious issues under the Committee on Religious Affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The topic of the meeting was “Prevention of Radicalization and the Principles of Secularism of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the New Edition of the Constitution.”

During the dialogue with students, issues of preventing radicalization, fostering legal culture, and developing critical thinking skills in the modern information environment were discussed. Special attention was given to the principles of secularism and civic responsibility as the foundation of social stability.
