Meeting with Students of Karaganda Regional Higher Nursing College

As part of the project “Organization of the Work of the Information and Awareness Group to Enhance Religious Literacy among the Population of Karaganda,” a meeting was held with students of the Karaganda Regional Higher Nursing College.

Speaker: Dmitry Sergeevich Poltarenko — Chairman of the Mediation Council of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan in Karaganda Region, Head of the Karaganda branch of the NGO “Counter-Terrorism Committee,” Moderator of the Club of Heads of MRO in Karaganda Region, Member of the Republican Information and Awareness Group on Religion under the Committee on Religious Affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Meeting topic: “Prevention of Radicalization and Secular Principles of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the New Edition of the Constitution.”

During the meeting, issues of preventing radicalization among youth, key provisions of the Constitution on the secular nature of the state, and contemporary risks of youth involvement in destructive religious movements, including online, were discussed.

Students actively participated in the discussion, asked questions, and shared their opinions, making the meeting a substantive and constructive dialogue.
