Meeting with Students of LLP “Higher College ‘Femida’”

As part of the project “Organization of the Work of the Information and Awareness Group to Enhance Religious Literacy among the Population of Karaganda,” a meeting was held with students of LLP “Higher College ‘Femida’.”

Speaker: Dmitry Sergeevich Poltarenko — Chairman of the Mediation Council of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan in Karaganda Region, Head of the Karaganda branch of the NGO “Counter-Terrorism Committee,” Moderator of the Club of Heads of MRO in Karaganda Region, Member of the Republican Information and Awareness Group on Religion under the Committee on Religious Affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Meeting topic: “Prevention of Radicalization and Principles of Secularity in the New Edition of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan.”

During the lecture, issues of preventing radicalization among youth were discussed, key constitutional provisions regarding the secular nature of the state were explained, and risks of involvement in destructive religious movements via the internet were highlighted.
