At the A. Saginov Karaganda Technical University, a training seminar was held for the teaching staff on the topic “Formation of Anti-Terrorist Public Awareness.”

The purpose of the event was to increase the awareness of faculty members regarding countering extremism and terrorism, as well as to cultivate sustainable values of civic responsibility and legal culture within the educational environment.

The seminar speakers were: Amanzhol Urazbayev — Candidate of Law, Reserve Colonel of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Dmitry Poltarenko — member of the Republican Information and Outreach Group of the Committee on Religious Affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the seminar, participants discussed current threats of radicalization, mechanisms for forming anti-terrorist awareness, and the role of educational institutions and educators in preventing extremist manifestations among youth. Participants received practical recommendations for identifying and preventing destructive ideologies and took part in discussions of real case studies.
