On February 25, a dialogue platform was held in Astana within the project “Dialogue between Civil Society and Government – a Path to High Quality of Life.”
The main topic was how to make public evaluation a real tool for influencing the quality of government decisions.
Today, public oversight is not criticism for the sake of criticism. It is professional analysis, monitoring, and expert assessment of decisions affecting citizens’ interests.
The project introduced a methodology for public evaluation of the impact of government measures on the living standards of various social groups. Pilot evaluations are already underway in pension policy, social services, climate, anti-bullying programs, and state grant mechanisms.
Importantly, the focus is on dialogue, reducing conflicts, and building trust between the state and civil society.
The project is implemented by the ZUBR Consulting Center together with the NGO “Civil Alliance of Kostanay Region ‘GrIn’” with financial support from the European Union.
