As part of a project aimed at improving religious literacy among the population of Karaganda, a meeting was held with the coaching staff, administrative personnel, and students aged 14–18 of a specialized youth Olympic reserve athletics school.

The speaker was Dmitry Sergeyevich Poltarenko — Chairman of the Mediation Council of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan in the Karaganda region, Head of the regional branch of the NGO “Counter-Terrorism Committee,” moderator of the Association of Religious Organizations leaders’ club in the Karaganda region, and a member of the National Information and Outreach Group on religious issues under the Committee for Religious Affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the dialogue with young athletes, issues of preventing radicalization among youth, fostering strong civic values, and understanding the principles of a secular state were discussed.
