CIVIL SOCIETY OF THE TURKESTAN REGION DISCUSSED THE DRAFT CONSTITUTIONAL REFORM
On February 3, 2026, a round table was held in a hybrid format with the participation of representatives of the regional civil sector, moderated by Inara Abdigapparkyzy, President of the Civil Alliance of the Turkestan Region. The topic of the discussion was “The role of constitutional reform in the development of civil society among non-governmental organizations (NGOs)”.
During the meeting, Bakytzhan Beisembayev, head of the public association of mediators “Bitimger”, presented a report titled “The draft of the new Constitution as a legal foundation of civil society”, and Zhanbolat Suiimbay, chairman of the public association “Zhaiylma”, delivered a presentation on “Rule of law and civil society: the foundations of the new Constitution draft”. The speakers introduced the draft Constitution and shared their views.
Following a Q&A session with participants, moderator Inara Namazbayeva summarized the discussion and called on the heads of district and city information resource centers to further disseminate the draft constitutional reform among the population and organize public discussions.
