Turkistan Region
Today, an important address by the Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, delivered at the Dialogue Platform of Rural Akims, was published.
The President emphasized the strategic importance of rural areas and highlighted the need to enhance transparency and accountability of local executive authorities. Currently, 2,334 rural akims in the country have been elected through direct voting by citizens, which is an important step toward strengthening local self-government.
The dialogue platform brought together 80% of rural akims across the country, where concrete proposals were discussed on rural development, infrastructure improvement, employment, and timely resolution of pressing issues faced by residents.
As the Civil Alliance of the Turkestan Region, we support this initiative and remain committed to continuing open dialogue to incorporate the views of rural residents and the proposals of civil society organizations into public decision-making.
The village is the heart of the nation. The real outcomes of all initiatives and reforms should be reflected in improving the quality of life in rural areas.
