Today, an intellectual competition titled “Adal Urpaq” was held in the Otrar district, aimed at engaging youth in anti-corruption efforts and promoting the principles of integrity and fairness.

The event was organized by the Civil Alliance of the Turkestan Region with the support of the Internal Policy Department of the Otrar District Akimat. Active members of the “Adal Urpaq” volunteer clubs from schools under the district education department took part in the competition.

The main goal of the event was to promote the values of honesty and integrity among young people, foster an anti-corruption culture, broaden students’ horizons, develop their logical and public speaking skills, and enhance civic engagement through intellectual games.

The competition consisted of five stages. In the first stage, teams introduced themselves and their mottos. In the second stage, “Knowledge is Power,” participants answered questions on the history of Kazakhstan, culture, law, anti-corruption efforts, and integrity values. In the “Situational Tasks” stage, teams demonstrated how to resolve problems based on honesty. In the “Who is Faster” round, participants competed by giving quick and accurate answers. The “Captains’ Contest” was also one of the most intense stages.

The jury included Galymzhan Sarsekov, Chief Specialist of the Internal Policy Department; Sholpan Dutbayeva, journalist of the “Otyrar Alqaby” newspaper; and Nasiba Nuritdinova, representative of the Civil Alliance of the Turkestan Region.

According to the results, the team “Adal Zhurek” took first place, while “Zhanibekov Zhastary” and “Damushy Urpaq” secured second and third places respectively. Other teams — “Senim,” “Adaldyk Ardyn Isi,” “Adilet,” and “Adal Alash” — were also awarded special prizes for active participation.
