On August 8, 2025, the first day of the XII Civil Forum took place under the theme “Social Responsibility and Civic Engagement: The Driving Force of Civil Society.”
The purpose of the forum was to unite representatives of civil society in the Turkestan region and contribute to the region’s sustainable development by enhancing social responsibility and civic engagement.
In the afternoon, panel sessions were organized as part of the forum. The results of the first stage of the civil society development concept were discussed, and proposals for the second stage were developed. Additionally, discussions were held on the draft laws “On Non-Governmental Organizations” and “On State Social Orders.”
The forum also widely addressed issues of civic responsibility and legal awareness. In particular, the role of NGOs in legal education and the impact of civic responsibility on economic growth within the framework of the “Honest Citizen” concept were discussed.
