Pavlodar Region
International experience shows that fair management of land resources is impossible without transparency, citizen participation, and access to information.
In many countries, land-related decisions are made taking into account the opinions of local residents, open data, and the protection of vulnerable groups’ rights. Approaches developed by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), as well as practices from European countries, demonstrate that community engagement and digital transparency reduce conflicts and increase trust in governance institutions.
For rural communities in Pavlodar Region, issues of pasture access, transparent land allocation, and participation in decision-making remain especially relevant. That is why the project “Land and Justice: Supporting Rural Communities in Pavlodar Region” focuses on improving residents’ legal literacy, fostering public participation, and promoting principles of fair resource management.
Studying international experience helps find effective solutions and adapt best practices to local conditions.
