Healthcare under the control of society: results of the study tour to the Karaganda region

Members of the Public Councils of Kostanay region, East Kazakhstan region, Shymkent city, West Kazakhstan Region and Kazakh Tourism JSC, together with the Public Council of Karaganda region, monitored a multidisciplinary hospital in Temirtau and polyclinic No. 1 in Karaganda.
We held a briefing on the topic "Public councils as a tool for communication between society and the authorities", discussing the role of Public councils in ensuring transparency and accountability of the authorities.
Also, the participants of the study tour took part in an expanded meeting of the OS of the Karaganda region on the topic "On measures for the implementation of health services in the Karaganda region. OSMS". During the meeting, recommendations were developed for local authorities and medical institutions aimed at improving the implementation of health services.
