As part of the project to increase religious literacy among the population of Karaganda city, a meeting was held with students of the Karaganda Medical-Technical College.

The speaker of the event was Dmitry Sergeyevich Poltarenko — Chairman of the Mediation Council of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan in Karaganda region, Head of the branch of the NGO “Counter-Terrorism Committee” in Karaganda region, Moderator of the Karaganda Regional Leaders Club, and a member of the Republican Information and Awareness Group on religious issues under the Committee for Religious Affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, issues of preventing radicalization among youth, key principles of secularism in the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the importance of interethnic and interfaith harmony were discussed.
