Today, the key directions of constitutional reforms, the role of civil society institutions in their implementation, and effective mechanisms for public participation in the process of political and legal modernization were discussed.
During the meeting, Banu Nurgaziyeva, President of the Civil Alliance of Kazakhstan and representative of the Nationwide Coalition “For the People’s Constitution of a Just and Progressive Kazakhstan!”, delivered a speech. She noted that the draft of the new Constitution will become a solid legal foundation for building a Strong and Just Kazakhstan, aligned with the country’s strategic development goals and responsive to modern challenges.
The discussion also covered improving interaction between the state and society, expanding citizen participation in the discussion of strategic documents, and increasing the transparency of the legislative process.
Non-governmental organizations from across Kazakhstan joined the meeting online and expressed their support.
