A delegation from Kazakhstan visited the Russian Geographical Society

Within the framework of the project "Support for civil initiatives in the field of international cooperation (on the sites of the Russian Federation)" with the support of the NGO "Center for Support of Civil Initiatives" commissioned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a delegation from Kazakhstan visited the Russian Geographical Society and got acquainted with the rich heritage of the outstanding organization.
During the visit, the delegation members had the opportunity to get acquainted with unique archival documents, among which the original of Shokan Valikhanov's diary stands out. This historical artifact, written by the great Kazakh scientist himself during his stay in St. Petersburg, has become a real find for researchers and anyone interested in the cultural heritage of Kazakhstan.
The staff of the Russian Geographical Society willingly shared digital materials related to the life and work of Shokan Valikhanov. They expressed deep respect for his personality and scientific achievements, emphasizing the importance of preserving the historical memory of his contribution to the development of science and culture.
