On May 31, in commemoration of the Day of Remembrance for Victims of Political Repression and Famine, public associations of the West Kazakhstan Region took part in a memorial event, paying tribute to innocent victims.
During the ceremony, members of the “Civil Alliance of West Kazakhstan Region” laid flowers at the monument and observed a minute of silence in memory of those who suffered during tragic periods of the country’s history.
This day serves as an important reminder not to forget the past and to deeply value independence and freedom. The names and bright memories of the victims of repression will remain forever in the nation’s memory.
