Presentation of the "Enhancing the Capacity of Public Councils" Project Took Place

Today, the presentation of the "Enhancing the Capacity of Public Councils" project took place. The project is being implemented by the Civil Alliance of Kazakhstan under the commission of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with the support of the Center for Support of Civil Initiatives.

The event brought together members of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of government agencies, Public Councils, and civil society organizations.

The project aims to strengthen the role and visibility of Public Councils, promote mechanisms for public participation, organize interregional dialogue platforms, provide 10 small grants in the field of public oversight, and introduce digital solutions to enhance the transparency and effectiveness of Public Councils.

In the second half of the year, a Republican Forum on the Development of the Public Council System and the Improvement of Related Legislation is planned.

Upon completion of the project, a final meeting will be held to present the project's outcomes and showcase best practices in public oversight.
