As part of the project “Organization of the Information and Awareness Group for Enhancing Religious Literacy among the Population of Karaganda City,” a meeting was held with members of ethnocultural associations.

The speaker was Dmitry Sergeyevich Poltarenko, Chairman of the Mediation Council of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan of the Karaganda Region, Head of the Karaganda Regional Branch of the Public Association “Counter-Terrorism Committee,” Moderator of the Club of Religious Association Leaders of the Karaganda Region, and a member of the National Information and Awareness Group on Religious Affairs under the Committee for Religious Affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, participants discussed issues related to improving religious literacy, preventing religious extremism and radicalism, preserving interfaith peace and harmony, as well as the role of ethnocultural associations in strengthening spiritual unity, social stability, and the harmonious development of Kazakhstani society.
