As part of the project “Organization of the Information and Awareness Group for Enhancing Religious Literacy among the Population of Karaganda City,” an informational meeting was held with employees of the Department of Economic Investigations of the Karaganda Region under the Financial Monitoring Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The speaker of the meeting was Dmitry Sergeyevich Poltarenko, Chairman of the Mediation Council of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan of the Karaganda Region, Head of the Karaganda Regional Branch of the Public Association “Counter-Terrorism Committee,” Moderator of the Club of Religious Association Leaders of the Karaganda Region, and a member of the National Information and Awareness Group on Religious Affairs under the Committee for Religious Affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, participants discussed current issues related to improving religious literacy, preventing religious extremism and radicalism, and highlighted the importance of preserving interfaith harmony, strengthening spiritual values, and developing a critical approach to information disseminated in the online environment.
