As part of the “Ortaq Mүdde” project, implemented through grant funding commissioned by the Internal Policy Department of the Akimat of Taraz City, a training course was held for representatives of non-governmental organizations. The event was organized by the Association of Legal Entities “Civil Alliance of Zhambyl Region.”

The training course took place at the Abai Zhambyl Humanitarian Higher College and brought together representatives of NGOs registered in Taraz who are interested in implementing socially significant projects.

During the course, participants received comprehensive information on the procedures for participating in the “Ortaq Mүdde” Small Grants Competition, application requirements, the fundamentals of social project development, budget preparation, and evaluation criteria.

The training was conducted by Polina Kim, Chairperson of the “Elim-ai Dostyq” Public Association, Islambek Dastan, Chairman of the Board of the Civil Alliance of Zhambyl Region, and Azamat Namelbek, President of the Association of Youth Organizations of Zhambyl Region.

Participants were introduced to the key requirements for preparing applications for the small grants competition aimed at supporting civic initiatives. In addition, they learned about the specifics of participating in the “Tauelsizdik Urpaqtary” grant program, which is designed to promote youth civic engagement and social activity.

During the event, NGO representatives received answers to their questions and practical recommendations on the effective development and implementation of projects.

It should be noted that the “Ortaq Mүdde” Small Grants Competition is aimed at supporting civic initiatives and implementing socially significant projects. The competition plans to award five small grants, each worth 500,000 tenge.
