The State Treasury Department for the Karaganda Region of the Treasury Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a preventive seminar in accordance with paragraph 2.2 of the Model Work Plan for Ethics Commissioners for 2026, approved by Order No. 8 of the Chairman of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Civil Service Affairs dated January 19, 2026. The event was conducted via Zoom with the participation of the Department's staff and employees of district and

The seminar aimed to promote compliance with the legal restrictions and prohibitions established by law, provide clarifications, and prevent potential violations.

The seminar was attended by Serik Kuatovich Tlekbayev, a representative of the Karaganda Region Department for Religious Affairs, lawyer, and expert in religious studies.

The following topics were discussed:

• preventing the involvement of civil servants in destructive religious movements, countering religious extremism and terrorism, preventing the imposition of religious beliefs, raising awareness on the prevention of drug and substance abuse, and preventing any coercion of civil servants to participate in the activities of religious organizations;
• compliance with ethical standards and requirements for civil servants, observance of anti-corruption restrictions, adherence to the principles of professional ethics, and prevention of visits to gambling establishments.
