Karaganda Region
A state social procurement project has been launched in the Karaganda Region to implement the pilot initiative "Safe Childhood School", aimed at developing children's safe behavior skills.
The project is being implemented by the Kazakhstan Azamattary Public Association with the support of the Karaganda Region Department for the Protection of Children's Rights.
The project is based on practical learning rather than theory. Through regular interactive training sessions for students in Grades 1–7, children learn the rules of safe behavior at home, at school, outdoors, and online, as well as the correct course of action in emergency situations and when interacting with strangers.
Module 1. "Dangerous Adult"
Teaching children how to recognize inappropriate or dangerous behavior from adults, protect their personal boundaries, say "no," and seek help in a timely manner.
Module 2. "I'm Alone / I'm Outside"
Safety rules for situations when a child is home alone, gets lost, or is left without adult supervision.
Module 3. "Home Safety"
Preventing household accidents and learning how to respond correctly to fires, gas leaks, electrical hazards, and other emergencies.
Module 4. "Safe Internet"
Fundamentals of digital safety, including protecting personal data, communicating safely online, and preventing cyberbullying and online fraud.
Module 5. "I'm in a Dangerous Situation"
Practical action plans for various dangerous situations, helping children stay calm, make the right decisions, and seek assistance when needed.
Knowing safety rules alone is not enough. The most important thing is being able to apply them correctly in real-life situations, even without the assistance of adults.
