Kazakhstan presented its civil initiatives at the COP 29 international Climate Conference. Within the framework of the project "Support for civil initiatives in the field of international cooperation (at the sites of the CIS countries)", Uteova Ayazhan took part from Kazakhstan. This project is aimed at developing interstate cooperation and supporting sustainable development in the CIS countries.
The COP29 conference has become an important platform for Kazakhstan, where the country presented its initiatives aimed at addressing key environmental challenges. The representative of Kazakhstan, Uteova Ayazhan, made a report "Kazakhstan: Environmental challenges and new initiatives for a sustainable future", in which she identified three priority issues: melting glaciers, lowering water levels in the Caspian Sea and issues of waste management and water supply. She noted that in order to overcome these challenges, close international cooperation and coordination of actions at all levels are required.
