Today, Astana hosted a roundtable discussion on “Civil Society and the SDGs: Accelerating Progress towards the 2030 Goals.”

The event brought together representatives of government bodies, international organizations, civil society, the expert community, and NGOs.

Participants discussed Kazakhstan’s progress towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the role of civil society in the implementation and monitoring of the SDGs, as well as strengthening partnerships and advancing the SDGs at the regional level.

During interactive group discussions, participants identified key barriers and developed practical recommendations to strengthen civil society’s contribution to achieving the SDGs.

The roundtable served as an important platform for open dialogue and joint efforts to find solutions on the path towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.
