Information and Awareness-Raising Meeting on Religious Literacy

As part of the project “Organization of the Work of an Information and Awareness-Raising Group to Improve the Religious Literacy of the Population of Karaganda”, an information and awareness-raising meeting was held with inmates serving sentences at Institution No. 61 of the Penal Enforcement System Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The speaker was Dauren Shegeniyazovich Kanaev, Head of the Public Association “Nurly Bilim Center for Assistance to Victims of Destructive Religious Movements.”

The meeting focused on the topic “Protecting the Population from Involvement in Destructive Ideologies.” Participants were informed about the key principles of state policy in the religious sphere, the importance of the secular nature of the state, and measures aimed at preventing religious radicalism.
