On October 23, 2024, Bishkek hosted the Regional Forum "Green Economy 2024". It was dedicated to strengthening cooperation between Central Asian countries in priority areas of the green economy, such as green energy, sustainable tourism, green construction and waste management. Representatives of the government, business, development banks and international organizations discussed regional initiatives and coordination of their implementation.
Following the results of the forum, the participants prepared recommendations for governments and financial institutions, as well as outlined steps to support green projects, exchange best practices and strengthen international cooperation.
