“Journey to the Land of Great Figures”

As part of the “Development of Volunteering in the Field of History and Culture” project of the Association of Legal Entities in the Form of “Civil Alliance of Kazakhstan,” the East Kazakhstan Regional Youth Public Association “Salauat” implemented the cultural and educational initiative “Abai Route: The Path of Unity and Heritage.”

As part of the initiative, an educational excursion for young people was organized to the Abai “Zhidebai-Borili” State Historical, Cultural and Literary-Memorial Museum-Reserve.

Excursion route:

• Kushikbai Pass;
• Mukhtar Auezov’s Museum-House in Borili;
• Syrt Kaskabulak — the birthplace of Abai Kunanbaiuly;
• Abai’s Museum-House in the Zhidebai Reserve.

During the journey, participants learned more about Abai’s homeland, his life and creative legacy. In Borili, they received valuable information about Mukhtar Auezov’s contribution to the study of Abai’s heritage. Visiting Syrt Kaskabulak and Zhidebai allowed participants to experience the environment in which the great poet lived and gain a deeper understanding of his spiritual world.

The excursion helped increase young people’s interest in national history and culture and provided an opportunity to understand the importance of preserving and promoting historical heritage.

Abai’s legacy is an eternal spiritual treasure that inspires every generation to pursue knowledge, hard work, and moral values!
